1,800-hp Beach Buggy tears up the sand (+video)

October 17th, 2011 by NZV8

Summer is quickly approaching so it might be time to get a more sand focused vehicle. How about a 1,800-horsepower beach buggy.

Sounds crazy, but over in the states such a creation is hitting the sand dunes. This beast looks the part with a mosquito nose and King shocks that can handle the wheel massive travel. But it’s the rear-mounted engine that makes this beast a bit special. A 7.0-litre twin turbo LS racing engine producing 1,800-horsepower powers the buggy.

It’s awesome power for any vehicle and in a light-weight dune buggy it’s edgy to say the least. Check it out in the video below, be ready to do some skipping forward to see the high speed runs.
