Rod Harvey

At the opening round of the ANDRA Pro Series, Kiwi Rod Harvey has eclipsed his own personal best, and recorded a new record. Previously passing the traps with a best of 6.54 @ 206mph (332kph), this record was destroyed by Rod, Terry Bowden and the Rayglass Boats team recently when they passed through to record a 6.54-second pass at a whopping 221mph (356kph). While the pass does not give Rod either the Australasian or the world record for the quickest ET, it does make his trap speed higher than the Titan Motorsports Scion, who currently hold that record with a 6.42 @ 219mph (353kph).

With both the Titan Motorsports Scion, and the Australasian record holder, Joe Signorelli, set to line up at the forthcoming Castrol Edge Fast Fours & Rotaries Jamboree 19 at the end of the month alongside Rod, it’s shaping up to be a tasty shootout between three of the world’s quickest sport compact drag racers.
