America’s iconic pony car is setting off on a journey to Japan with a very limited edition being offered in the Asian nation called the “Mustang V6 Sport Appearance”.
As you’d expect there are some modest upgrades and a new paint job for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) Mustang. There are two colours to choose from “Performance White” or the retro style “Grabber Blue”, both paintjobs come with special pin striping and a bonnet bump. Other goodies include a rear boot lid spoiler and 18-inch chromed alloy wheels wrapped with 235/50 R18 rubber. Inside the cabin is full leather trim.
The Japanese package can be bought in either coupe or convertible models and is powered by Ford’s 3.7-litre V6 engine, which is rated at 230kW of power and 378Nm of max torque.
The special edition Tang will be exclusive with only25 examples in each body shape up for grabs. The cost is a hefty 4.35 million Yen for the Coupe and 5.05 million Yen for the soft-top Convertible (that’s around $66,250 NZD and $76,000 NZD at current exchange rates).
