the auto sparky showed up and low-and-behold with a few shakes of the cable and some well placed anecdotes about other jobs the family car fired up and away she went.. I had removed all the shrouds and covers from the driver’s side of the dash and gave Clint clear access to the cables. he surmised that the factory uniden immobiliser can be the culprit when the car has trouble starting.. the wiring gets hot and age takes it’s toll after a while the wire gets brittle and a break in the wire can occur.. Clint went over all the Weltec tutors work and commended whoever did it for the work done.. well done Weltec guy

I had a bit of a chat about relocating the battery and the alternator rebuild I was requiring and how we’d love to have some auto sparky support to help get those two jobs done.. and hey presto Clint’s Auto Electrical are on board as maintenance supporters for the 2009/2010 NZDRA season..

come Monday he called to say he had the battery cable to relocate the battery and needed to check the length he had was gonna fit.. I was stoked.. he’ll do all the auto sparky work, I just provide the labour and route the cable under the floorpan.. we will put in an isolation switch under the passenger tail-light.. I will put the battery in the spare wheel well and locate the spare wheel to the centre of the boot floor.. the car started when he tried it so I was feeling confident about that aspect of the family car too..
