those were my thoughts exactly when Cam Neill said to drop in for a night on the way North. so I looked it up.. just North of Turangi and just South of Hatepe, “we’re opposite the licorice cafe” he said.. should be easy enough to find..

Cam and Sue were great hosts and put my travelling companion and I up in unit 1..  I love electric blankets!! and this place had a massive shower as well, like a fantastic shower for a hospital or a dog even, it was awesome.. the unit had everything and after a trip to the supermarket in Turangi we cooked up dinner and watched some skytv.. some flick about him not really being into you or the like.. I would’ve rather watched a metal doco but alas I didn’t have the remote..

Thanks to Cam and Sue Neill for putting us up at at the Lodge on our way North to Pokeno, we’ll be sure to call in and say Hi on our way North next time you want some visitors guys. looking for somewhere to stay on your way North, when the new bypass kicks into gear towns like Motuoapa may be handed a lifeline as traffic bypasses the trap-like Taupo.. check them out folks you will enjoy your stay for sure..
