I had been texting Clint while we were away in Masterton and when I returned to Wainuiomata we disconnected the battery and left it for the auto sparky to look into.. I worried about poor earth connections, about the cabling being near something that would arc and other issues of nonexistence..

Clint called on Monday to arrange dropping over to check things out.. Ben had come over and after checking a few things he removed the alternater and took it off for rebuilding.. Ben dropped off the alternater yesterday arvo all rebuilt and read to go, I put it back in and fired the car into life, after some checks we adjusted the idle and problem was sorted.. thanks so much to Clint and Ben on this one.. I can’t wait to get out and test out the new alternater output a bit hugher in the rev range.. but at this stage it seems the latest electrical gremlin has been banished..
