1993 Mach 1 Mustang – Daily Grind – 51

Name: Peter Geddes
Car: Ford Mustang Mach 1

Hey Pete, nice Mustang. Done much to it?
It’s a little bit lowered with BBK springs, a K&N cold air intake and a Flowtech exhaust.

It’s not often you see these around, why did you choose it as your daily driver?
I initially went to the older retro ones because parts were readily available, and it’s a very recognisable badge. Mustang was my first choice in American muscle cars; through a lot of research I found I liked this particular model. Also, being part of the Canterbury Mustang Club, we’ve met some really great people. Becoming more familiar with Mustangs you get into models that suit you best.

What is your favourite feature of the ’93?
The shaker; it makes a statement about the power.

Any further plans for it, or do you have a project on the go?
No further plans for the Mach 1 except maybe some cosmetic changes. But I have a 1964 1/2 notchback total refurbishment on the go.

If you weren’t driving a Mustang, what else would you be driving?
An HSV Maloo or a Clubsport. I love both Ford and Holden so I’ve got a foot in both camps. I love the 1964 Ford Galaxy and the 1957 Chevrolet two-door pillarless. Or an early American Cadillac.

Sounds like your taste is as varied as ours. All the best for the ’64 restoration.
